Adaptation: The Other Gods

To make good  designs it is important to have in mind the original text. Where is set and when did the action happen? How does the author describe the characters?  That's why I have tried to sum all the information I think it was relevant:

  1. Hi Adrian.

Since you're aiming for a video game setting, it may help to visualise the genre. For example; Action, Adventure, Sandbox, 3rd Person, 1st Person, etc... And also what the challenges would be, for the player. So it could be something like platforming or combat.

It would help the audience visualise this as a game.

I like your idea for an adaptation. I'm also looking at Character Design for Game, and have looked briefly into some things that would be considered for video games which can be found on my blog.

  2. Hi Adrian this little presentation is a great insight into your idea and what you want to do. It's also really good in making sense of the book you're looking at. Like Jake said it would be a good idea to decide the type of game you want to design your character for.
Also this might help you present things better on your blog but if you upload presentations as PDFs onto scribd.com you can embed them through HTML on here and they look nicer :) Keep up the good work!
